My focus is split between the massive rave on stage, taking in an absolutely mind-numbing bass-line that makes your brain shake, and this girl, who I only just met, standing next to me, on a ten-minute monologue about how cool I am.

“I am so glad. That this is. A cool place for you to come and hang out at.” She’s clearly wasted. “I love you,” she starts finishing. “I really do. I love you.” She’s gathering herself together again. Seemed like she just needed to get that out of her system.

“Aw, thank you,” I tell her. I give her a side arm hug, cuz it feels like the natural thing to do. She presses herself into it. Seems she needed that as well.
